The idea behind the Rata 20 was to make a versatile and high quality everyday pack, and it’s been a tough but satisfying nut to crack. Initially, given the number of pieces involved and time it took to assemble, I wrote the idea off as uneconomical. A few other bag makers learned that lesson before me and perhaps I should’ve listened. But in 2020, the addition of a laser cutter to the workshop helped streamline production, and after making the final tweaks to the design in 2022, I’m thrilled to now be able to offer it.
